Thiersee, the site of the “Passionsspiele” (passion play), lies 760 - 2,000 meters above sea level and was first documented in 1224. Thiersee has about 2,700 inhabitants.

Our picturesque village lies on a sunny high plateau bordered by meadows and forests. The Thierseetal with its rolling hills is surrounded by a majestic mountain range, offering a natural experience of exceptional diversity and beauty. Here you will encounter the famous Austrian hospitality, Tyrolean cosiness, and an intimate atmosphere to make you feel at home.

At the heart of the valley lies Lake Thier, a natural swimming paradise nestled amidst lush meadows and forests. Crystal clear mountain streams and softly rounded rock formations characterize the Thiersee Valley, an idyllic landscape that exerts its silent fascination on the spectator.

Thiersee, Hinterthiersee and Landl are the names of the three ‘winter-fresh’ places that account for the most beautiful prospects and slopes for skiing families, romantics and those seeking relaxation also in winter. Just a few miles from Kufstein, you can still discover the original, intimate and varied facets of winter.
